Wheels, Brakes and Undercarriage

The double five spoke rims are beautifully replicated, with amazing detail and definition. The lugnuts are very 3D looking. The center Corvette tampoes are all well placed and have great detail as well. Tires are unmarked, but have realistic tread and feel. The brakes are well done, albeit incorrect. The discs are carbon discs, which is completely inaccurate to the real car (should be normal steel discs). Also, the discs aren’t truly cross drilled, it just has small dimples to simulate this. Callipers are very detailed though, with correct lettering. Undercarriage is decent, with some suspension and muffler system detail.

Engine

Engine cover opens up suicide style and stays up. It uses a very basic hinge, but it works well. There’s some wiring, detail painting, and warning stickers. Engine looks to be a separate piece. However, it just doesn’t look very detailed or realistic. .

Interior

The interior has some good points and some bad. Let’s get on with it! Dashboard uses stickers for the instruments, but are realistic. Center console has all the buttons molded and painted, but it looks plasticky (maybe true to the 1:1?). Gear shifter has decent detail, but the handbrake looks stubby. Pedals are decent in terms of detail, but aren’t the best I’ve seen. AA could’ve drilled the pedals instead of using just black paint. The two-tone seats, however, are a step up for Autoart. They’re made of soft plastic and feel like leather. Seatbelts are fabric with separate buckles, and are very nicely detailed. Steering wheel is well-padded, with a Corvette logo in the center. The floor is covered by rich, realistic carpet. Doors open on small discrete hinges, with no wobble when open. Door sides have good detail, with all the window buttons molded and detail painted. The boot opens on small hinges as well, and the hinges are well hidden that they’re not easy to see when viewed from the back. Rear windows has the heat lines painted in, and look great. The boot itself, however, is quite boring. It’s just lined with the same grey carpet as the rest of the interior. Note that in the pre-production pics of this model, some people were clamouring that the interior colour is wrong. From what I’ve seen on Chevrolet’s site, it’s accurate on this model.
